Nature is extremely complex, and in most
cases the knowledge and science
of human beings is too limited to understand the reasons why things in nature are as they are. We don’t see or hear how the sun,
the wind, the rain, the earth, the stones
and the plants communicate between them.
We only can smell and taste the result.

A person who is knowledgable about wine will always recognise a portuguese wine, even
with closed eyes. Because the wines
of Portugal smell and taste different from
all other wines in the world.
This is the result of the very particular communication between the warm portuguese sun, the fresh atlantic winds, the many times tough rainfalls, the millions of years old earth and stones, the very distinctive grape varietals.

And not least of the work of many small producers who respect that distinctive
caracter and preserve it.
